Books I find authoritative

Because I have to ground the philosophy in my book with some sort of truths, the following are a list of books I will use as a bases for what I write.

01. Tom Morris, PH.D. - Philosophy for Dummies
02. Richard Dawkins - The God Delusion
03. Carl Sagans - Pale Blue Dot

The following is a list of further recommended reading:

1. The Epic Of Gilgamesh
2. The Works of Plato
3. René Descartes - Principles of Philosophy
4. Charles Darwin - The Origin of Species

in diary of Anne frank

It's funny how 10 years ago was the last time I was on stage. My last official play supposed to be Peter Pan as Captain Hook, before I got kicked out of high school. It felt very nice to officially be needed again when I was contacted by my former high school drama teacher a couple of weeks ago to play a Nazi for a production of Anne Frank. It felt nice to be quickly accepted as its cast and after my recent accident, its nice to still have challenges.

I hope a lot of my friends will come see it, even though my scene is small. Not just for me but the other actors are great, and the story, though well known, is captivating. I did forget about the work involved. It's about the same amount of work as my other stuff, but with a schedule.

Just feels so natural. I'm glad I said yes to this.

My Greetings

So I've had this blog spot for a while and just decided to say hello to everybody and to reintroduce myself. My name is AFlunky and I like to think. I also like to play with cameras, but that's another story. Today, I'm playing with this new blog app on my phone.

A little about what I've regularly been doing lately, I read and learn about the past, look at the present and say "You're gonna die"... in otherwords, I like to practice my foresight and Possibly pass on some wisdom.

I've read Plato's works as well as Carl Sagan and Thomas Jefferson's. Stuff. I'm also a fan of Einstein, MLK, and Olbermann.

I'm an athiest, but I respect religious freedom and do not think that religion is an evil. I prefer to think that religion can promote a lot of good.

I am also a liberal by default of liking to think. Lol! Joking, but I do tend to lean left.

I love philosophy. I will also say that I'm not one by profession. I've never even officially took a philosophy course. I took film. However, through years of reading and studying via audio lecture, I've pretty much begun to speak for myself.

With the events going on, and the stuff I'm reading about, it feels like I have to write down my thoughts and share with the rest of the community. So that's what this blog will be from here on, a bit less formal than the blogs I've posted before, but hopefully all the more better.

I'll try to keep my postings down to about twice a week, I think that works.

Anyways, talk to you later!
